Leslie ParrLeslie Parr, Owner, Veterinary Technician
Leslie lives outside Mt. Horeb with her husband Roger, 4 horses-Sawyer, Hawk,Rocky and Gus, 1 dog-Jack, a black lab.  She graduated from MATC in the Veterinary Technician program in 1978.  Leslie has worked in the area for 25 years (Pewaukee, Waukesha, Cross Plains, Dodgeville, Mazomanie and now in Black Earth.)  Her hobbies are horseback riding, camping with horses, scuba diving, gardening, skiing and socializing.  She and Roger have had a German exchange student, Lukas at their house for the school year and she still  can’t speak any German.

Kristy GraweKristy Earley, DVM
Dr. Earley's desire to become a veterinarian began in early childhood where she spent a majority of the time on her grandparent's and godparent's family farms. Upon graduating high school she went to work at the Bay Area Humane Society & Animal Shelter for 8 years during which she obtained a Bachelors degree in Human and Animal Biology from UWGB in 2001. Post Graduation she went to work for Fort Dodge Animal Health, a veterinary pharmaceutical company until graduating from UW Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Dr. Earley practiced at a small animal hospital in Appleton for three years prior to joining the team at Black Earth Veterinary Clinic. Her special interests include shelter medicine, internal medicine, dermatology, and geriatric wellness care. When she is not practicing veterinary medicine or volunteering at local animal shelters she is likely spending time with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel or enjoying a long run.

Katie Grawe, DVM
Dr. Grawe graduated from the UW School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.  She joins Black Earth after practicing in Milwaukee and then Madison at two busy AAHA practices.  Katie enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine but has special interest in internal medicine, infectious diseases, dermatology and nutrition.  She finds it especially rewarding to improve the quality of life for her older patients as they begin to experience multiple and complex medical conditions. Dr. Katie’s best dog friend is a goofy goldendoodle named Owen.  She loves travel, hiking, jogging, yoga, reading and spending time with her family.

Brooke HansonBrooke Hanson, Certified Veterinary Technician
Brooke grew up in Mount Horeb and is currently living in Richland Center with her husband Jake, 2 dogs "Riley and J.D.", a handful of cats, 2 rabbits and a flock of chickens. She graduated from MATC Veterinary Technician program in May 2010.  Her hobbies include snowboarding and traveling/camping.

Cindy lives outside of Waunakee with her husband Randy, 2 cats-Mama Kitty and Freddie, 2 dogs-Katie and Bro & 1 cockatiel-Chico.  After raising her 2 daughters, Cindy received her high school diploma and went on to MATC to graduate in the Veterinary Technician program in 1996.  Her hobbies include quilting, crocheting, cooking, vegetable gardening and fishing.   Cindy has worked in Middleton and the Mazomanie area for 14 years.  She has a soft spot for any animal that needs help.

Cherly lives just outside Mazomanie with her husband, Tom, Matilda the cat, Toby, the greatest dog in the world and 2 Arabian horses, Boom Boy and Jackson.  Cheryl and Tom have a daughter, Stacey, who is getting married this summer to a local guy, Travis Martin.  The Bumgarners have lived in the area for 24 years.  Cheryl has spent her adult life working for doctors of all kinds - dentists, orthodontists, physicians and veterinarians.    Cheryl finds the veterinary field to be fun and challenging as there is always something new to learn about and you just never know what a critter will do or eat.  Helping owners with their pets is terrifically rewarding and Cheryl enjoys making a difference.
